Thyme, rosemary, juniper and most herbs you can think of grow wild everywhere, and home-grown vegetables are to be found in most back gardens, my papa-in-law Roger's included..
Wild boar roam the hillsides and free range chickens roam their ranges. Even the fish is delivered fresh every Tuesday from Leucate about 30 miles away on the coast.
